Hospitalists are physicians who are usually trained in internal medicine and specialize in caring for hospitalized patients.  The physicians with DFW Hospitalists™ are all Board-Ceritfied Internists. 

 

By spending all of their time caring for seriously ill patients, hospitalists become highly skilled at meeting the specialized needs patients have after surgery or in the intensive care. Physicians with DFW Hospitalists™ meet with patients and their families on a daily basis as well as communicate with the patient's primary care physician to ensure the continuity of their care. At the time of discharge from the hospital, patients are returned to their primary care doctors with a complete list of discharge medications and instructions.
